Restoration Hardware engaged Juli Shore Design to create packaging for a holiday assortment of classic games that felt as though they had been discovered rather than manufactured. Rather than branding them as RH products, the intention was to evoke the charm of items curated from old-world markets, antique shops, or treasured family collections. Each game needed to feel timeless, inviting customers of all ages into a sense of nostalgia and simple play.
To evoke the feeling of curated, heirloom-quality finds, each package was crafted as a unique, standalone piece. Inspired by vintage books, early printing techniques, and European flea-market ephemera, every box carried its own typographic voice and illustrative style. Aged textures, muted palettes, and subtle flourishes reinforced the sense of a discovered relic. The result was packaging that felt authentically one-of-a-kind, inviting customers to experience the delight of uncovering a beautifully preserved treasure for the holiday season.
